Donald is a Senior Fiduciary Advisor and the Lead Planner with Colmina, LLC. He offers an extensive menu of investment planning products and services to his clients. The primary focus of his business is advising individuals and business owners in regard to their finances, including their investment portfolio and retirement plans. He utilizes a consultative approach and believes strongly in the role communication plays when building healthy, long-term client relationships.

 

Don is involved in many aspects of his client’s financial, investment and retirement needs. Whether a person is contemplating their 401(k) distribution options, setting up a retirement plan for their business, or carefully constructing an estate plan, Don has the resources to assist his clients.

 

His investment philosophy is centered on the needs, goals and objectives of his clients. He utilizes a four-step consultative process that begins with a personal meeting with his clients to discuss their financial goals and assess their current and future needs. He then analyzes his client’s current investment portfolios to help ensure proper diversification, liability management and asset allocation. Investment recommendations are made and step-by-step implementation follows. Don meets regularly with his clients to review and adjust their investment plan as needed.

 

Don has been in the financial services field since 1978. His experience includes management and ownership of financial services firms, which gives him the ability to understand the unique issues surrounding the small business owner.

He works towards balance in his life by being an active member in the community while striving for excellence in his career. He and his wife, Violet, are involved in a variety of activities at Immaculate Conception Church as well as community organizations such as Rotary Club, the Civil Air Patrol and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Don and Violet make their home in Spokane Valley and are the proud parents of three children.
